CHON BURI -- Four people were admitted to Burapha University Hospital in Muang district for treatment of bullet wounds after a clash between two rival gangs on Bang Saen beach early on Tuesday, police said. Pol Capt Supornchai Nilasamit, a duty officer at Saen Suk police station, said the shooting occurred about 1.30am on the beach in front of Laem Thong store opposite Burapha University in tambon Saen Suk. The men were Thanawat Kingmala, 37, who sustained a bullet wound near an eye, and Chusak Permsarika, 33, who was shot in the abdomen and seriously injured. The women were Namfon Choychinda, 19, who suffered a serious head wound, and Nathakan Kongsiri, 23, who was shot in a leg. Pol Maj Gen Somprasong Yenthuan, the Chon Buri police chief, called a meeting of Saen Suk police on Tuesday to organise a hunt for the culprits after finding clues in footage from security cameras installed in the area.
